Plastic Waste - how can we reduce the problems?

will be presented by 

Sophie Thomas MCIWM

Over the last century plastic has become part of everyday life, from bottles and bags to clothes, cars and planes. Should we reduce our reliance on this material and how can we reduce our plastic waste? Sophie will discuss ways through design and citizen action.

Sophie Thomas MCIWM is a founding Director of Thomas Matthews Communication Design and Trustee of WRAP UK. She is a recognised leader in the investigation and promotion of circular economy design and is currently working with charity Common Seas to tackle the marine plastic pollution problem through action-based solutions.
