Monday 12 June   ‘Tramways in Enfield and Beyond’

Dave Cockle, retired after a career spent on the main line railways, mostly in the signals department in and around the North London area.  He is currently the Chairman of the Enfield Society.  His illustrated talk is about the development of the tramways in the area and the extension of the Piccadilly Line to Cockfosters in the 1930s.


MONDAY 10 JULY  ‘WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE’

WENDY HARTNELL (WEA TUTOR) AND SPEAKER FROM THE HERTFORDSHIRE AND MIDDLESEX WILDLIFE TRUST, WILL GIVE US A TALK ON NATURE CONSERVATION FOR THE 21ST CENTURY AND THE WORK OF THE WILDLIFE TRUST.

STARTING AT 2PM THE MAIN PRESENTATION WILL LAST BETWEEN 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR.

THERE WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS AND LOOK AT ANY ARTEFACTS BROUGHT, BEFORE TEA/COFFEE AND A CHAT WITH OTHER CLASS MEMBERS.

THE COST PER SESSION IS £5, COLLECTED ON THE DAY.
